The English Wikipedia gives a length of about 32 km and a depth of up to 1,350 m, while its Zagori page gives 38 km and about 990 m near Monodendri. The width reaches 2,500 m at the widest and only a few metres at the narrowest point.
Trails and views
A hiking trail descends from Monodendri and runs to the Voidomatis springs, from where paths lead on to Papingo or Vikos. Oxia, with a view of the deepest part, is reached by a road about 8 km from Monodendri.
