Arta has more museums than you would expect from a small town. The list below follows the Greek Wikipedia article on the regional unit; it is not complete and gives no opening hours.
In the town of Arta
The Folklore Museum of Arta is in a neoclassical building of 1864, near the bridge. The Municipal Art Gallery “G. Moralis” was inaugurated in December 2010. The Museum of Classical Antiquities is in the refectory of the Parigoritissa, while the finds of ancient Ambracia are in the Archaeological Museum. There is also the Skoufas Historical Museum.
In the regional unit
Peta has had a Folklore Museum since 1980. Agnanta has the Historical and Folklore Museum of Tzoumerka.
