In town
If you want the monuments on foot, sleep in the town of Arta, near the bridge and the pedestrian Skoufa Street. It suits the “Arta in 3 hours” route and the Byzantine route.
In the countryside
CNN Greece describes Koronisia as a quiet base with rooms and tavernas, about 30 km from Arta. In Rodavgi, at 700 m, there are guesthouses and tavernas, with views of Lake Pournari. For the Tzoumerka and Plaka look in the same directories.
