Arta has a hot-summer Mediterranean climate (Csa), with hot, dry summers and cool, rainy winters. According to the English Wikipedia, annual rainfall is about 1,100 millimetres, which makes it one of the wettest towns in Greece.
What it means for your trip
Summer is hot, so mountains, the river and the Ambracian Gulf suit it. Autumn and winter bring rain, but also the oranges, which are best from November to February. Spring turns the plain green.
What to pack
Pack a raincoat for winter and comfortable shoes for stone bridges and trails. In summer you need sunscreen and a hat. The Open-Meteo pill on the page shows the current weather.
