Spring
The “Bridge Run”, the half marathon of Arta, has been held at the end of March or the start of April (7th edition 1–2 April 2023, 8th on 30 March 2024). Byzantine Week is held around Easter, which the guide calls an ideal period for the Byzantine monuments.
Summer
The municipality's Cultural Summer includes more than a hundred events. In 2026 the programme included the 9th Classic Vehicles Festival (12–13 June), the 8th Arta Night Run (20 June), the 2nd International Traditional Dance Festival “Bridge of Culture” (9 July), summer cinema from 29 July and the “Stoicheia kai Stichoi” event at the bridge on 12 August. The Ambracian Gulf swimming crossing, from Vonitsa to Koronisia, is held in July (for example 23 July 2023, the 19th crossing). In August the Sardine Festival takes place at Aneza.
Autumn and winter
The Panhellenic Trade Exhibition of Arta runs from 27 September to 3 October at the Exhibition Center. In Rodavgi and Pistiana the Chestnut and Tsipouro Festival is held. On the last weekend of November there is the festival for oranges, mandarins, kiwis and olives. The Christmas Village with Santa and the Carnival complete the winter. On Peranthi hill the “Arta City Trail” race is held (for example 17 December 2023 and 26 September 2021).
